Senior CEI Inspector

Role Overview: 
Metric is seeking a CEI Senior Inspector or Senior Bridge Inspector for a project assignment in Miami-Dade County.  This assignment will begin in January 2018 and will continue for at least 3 years.  Must be able to work nights and weekends.   High school graduate plus eight (8) years of construction inspection experience required.   Experience with concrete paving and working for FDOT District 4 and/or FDOT District 6 is highly desirable.  The selected candidate should have most, if not all, of the below qualifications and certifications.
 
Day-to-Day:
 
Assist in obtaining additional details or information, when required at the job site for proper execution of the work.
Project Administrator when he believes work should be uncovered for observation, testing, inspection or approval.
Verify that tests, equipment and systems start-ups and operating and maintenance instructions are conducted as required by the Contract Documents and in the presence of the required personnel and that Contractor maintains adequate records thereof; observe, record and report to Project Administrator appropriate details relative to the test procedures and start-ups. Report to Project Administrator when clarifications and interpretations of the Contract Documents are needed or requested.Keep a diary recording hours on the job site, weather conditions, data relative to questions of extras or deductions, lists of visiting officials and representatives of Suppliers, contractor's workers on-site by classification and hours of work, equipment on site each day, materials delivered to site and incorporated into project components, daily activities, decisions, and observations in general and specific observations in more detail as in the case of observing test procedures. Summarize such information on the daily diary and submit copies to Project Administrator.
Assist Project Administrator with record keeping as directed by Project Administrator.
Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Leads and directs the work of the inspection staff and reports to the Senior Project Engineer.

  • CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level I & 2
  • CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level I & 2
  • CTQP Pile Driving Inspection
  • CTQP Drilled Shaft Inspection
  • CTQP Final Estimates Level I
  • CTQP Post-Tensioning Technician Level 1
